Meet Professor Tony Adah, a US Fulbright Scholar in Film Studies. Prof. Tony is a lecturer at Minnesota State University, United States. He is a third time visiting lecturer here at Pan-Atlantic University.
“The first time I visited Pan-Atlantic University was in 2015 as part of my Sabbatical leave. Then I received a direct invitation to teach specific courses in the Mass Communication programme. I am here now on a Fulbright Scholarship, and part of it is research which I do with the Nollywood Study Center; the other part is teaching, which is why I lecture under the Masters in Film Production Programme.”
Prof. Adah admitted that Pan-Atlantic University’s conducive work environment is the reason he chose to return here instead of going to another university. “I know when I come here, I can do what I set out to do. There is little interference with my process. I don’t have bureaucracies providing obstacles for me,” he said.
“The human environment is another reason I willfully returned to Pan-Atlantic University. It helps when you’re working with people that do not obstruct your processes and are available to have fruitful conversations with you when you’re facing a problem.” Prof. Adah concluded by commending the “open communication channel” that exists in Pan-Atlantic University.
Prof. Adah has been at Pan-Atlantic University since February 2021 and will be leaving in a week.
