7th February 2024
Pan-Atlantic University – Today marked a significant milestone for our final year students and the esteemed companies that participated in the 7th #PAUCareerFair, an event that has become a tradition of excellence at Pan-Atlantic University. The day was filled with networking opportunities, insightful discussions, and a keynote presentation that set the tone for navigating the evolving landscape of opportunities in the professional world.
The Career Fair commenced with a thought-provoking keynote address by Dumebi Okwechime, PhD, the founder and Chief Data Scientist at Izifin. Dr. Okwechime shared valuable insights into the “New World of Work,” emphasizing the importance of forecasting shifts in industries and building pivotal relationships to thrive in a dynamic environment. His expertise shed light on the ever-changing nature of the professional landscape and provided our students with valuable perspectives on positioning themselves for success.
Following the enlightening presentations, the event transitioned into an interactive session where our students had the unique opportunity to engage with representatives from various companies. This session allowed students to gain firsthand insights into the companies’ cultures, available job roles, internship opportunities, and potential career paths. The vibrant exchange of ideas and information further enriched the learning experience for our students, providing them with a realistic understanding of the professional landscape they are about to enter.
The success of the Career Fair was a collaborative effort, and the university extends a BIG THANK YOU to the students, alumni, industry partners, and PAU staff who contributed to making this event a resounding success. The participation and engagement demonstrated the strong sense of community within Pan-Atlantic University, fostering connections that will undoubtedly benefit our students in their future careers.
Pan-Atlantic University looks forward to building on the success of this year’s Career Fair and continuing to empower our students with the knowledge and connections they need to thrive in the ever-evolving world of work.
