Pan-Atlantic University (PAU) graduates 339 students at its convocation ceremony on the 3rd and 4th of December, 2021, at the Lekki Campus of the university. A total of 138 undergraduate students and 201 postgraduate students received awards.
Emannuel Racheal, from the Department of Accounting, emerged as the best graduating student with a CGPA of 4.99. In her valedictory speech, she reminisced on the good and bad experiences in school, expressing her gratitude for an overall good experience. ”I, like many of us here, looked forward to graduating so we could finally start our lives. But I now realise that we did not need to graduate to start our lives. We were living in those times we spent in the classroom, the moments we spent with our friends, and the thousands of doughnuts that we ate from the cafeteria.”
Similarly, other students received awards for outstanding character and academic excellence. These include; Bankole Oluwakanyinsola, the best student in Mass Communication class; Wole-Ilori Atinuke, the best student in Information Science and Media Studies class; Orakpo Naomi, the best student in Business Administration class; Konyeaso Amarachi, the best student in Economics class; Chinaza Obiekwe, Entrepreneurship Award; Peter Osilike, Leadership Award.
