On the 6th of November, 2023, the Pan-Atlantic University inaugurated the 2023/2024 academic session with the Mass of the Holy Spirit. The school’s chaplain, Fr. Ifeanyi Ogboh, officiated the Mass, and the School Chaplaincy Choir accompanied the Mass with various soul uplifting renditions.
In the Homily, the Priest spoke about consecrating our work this semester, as students and staff, to the Holy Spirit. He explored the concept of gratuitous giving, explaining the blessings attached to giving without expecting rewards, and the impact it can have on a university society such as ours.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Enase Okonedo in her remark, further re-echoed the importance of gratuitousness, while acknowledging the numerous self-less contributions of students and staff in the growth of the university, and most recently, the TEDxPAU event at the Lagos Business School.
This experience was an excellent way to begin the Fresher’s Week which started with Red Day, and will last the rest of this week.
