The School of Media and Communication (SMC) at Pan-Atlantic University has once again demonstrated its commitment to excellence in education and professional preparation. A distinguished team from the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON ADVERT) recently graced our campus to renew the prestigious ARCON accreditation for our esteemed programmes.
The group, led by Mr. Joe-Eugene Onuorah, Deputy Director overseeing Registration, Career Matters & Corporate License at ARCON, consists of Prof. Samaila Mande, Dean of the School of Postgraduate Studies at the National Open University of Nigeria; Mrs. Agbo Susan Ngozi, Head of Planning, Research & Strategy at ARCON; Dr. Ajike Emmanuel, an Associate Professor of Strategic Marketing and Management at Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo, Nigeria; and Mrs. Agatha Okonkwo from ARCON’s Accreditation Desk. Together, they conducted a thorough evaluation of our BSc Mass Communication and MSc in Media and Communication programs. The impressive panel, delved into every facet of our offerings, from facilities and curriculum to engaging conversations with our dedicated faculty members and vibrant student body.
This reaccreditation is not just a badge of honour for SMC; it’s a golden ticket for our graduates venturing into the captivating world of Advertising. Imagine a future where our alumni stride confidently into their careers without the hurdle of mandatory Advertising professional examinations. Thanks to this ARCON seal of approval, our students aspiring for an advertising career will seamlessly transition from academia to the professional realm, equipped with the recognition and certification they need to shine.
Let’s celebrate this remarkable achievement that cements SMC’s position as a leading institution nurturing the next generation of Advertising trailblazers. Our gratitude goes out to the ARCON team for their thorough evaluation and unwavering support in realizing our shared vision.
