The 17th Pan-Atlantic University’s convocation ceremony took place on the 3rd and 4th of December, 2020 at the main campus of the University. A total of 300 students were awarded first and higher degrees during the ceremony.
The event was special as it took place at the main campus of the University for the first time and as scheduled in the academic calendar despite the impact of COVID-19. This is in line with the commitment of the University to offer high standards and value to its participants. According to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Juan Elegido, “PAU always tries to listen. An important factor that contributed to the quality of our online teaching was the help we received from our students.” PAU switched to online classes when the Government announced the shutdown of universities due to the impact of Corona Virus.
First degrees awarded during the ceremony were Bachelors of Science in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Information Science and Media Studies and Mass Communication. Higher degrees awarded were, Masters in Media and Communication, PhD in Media and Communication, Masters in Business Administration, Executive Masters in Business Administration, Master of Philosophy and PhD in Management.
The occasion was graced with the presence of invited guests, students, members of staff and the press.
